Why King Arthur was based on Alexander the Great

Humanity likes to base fantasy characters on real people,
to give them credibility. The stories of
Alexander the Great are retold as King Arthur – the sword Excalibur in the
Stone was Alexander’s sword cutting the Gordian Knot, which made him King of
Asia (or in Arthur’s case, King Arthur).
The Knights of the Round Table are the Diadochi (Alexander’s Generals),
as Knights are mounted warriors on horseback.
I remembered this in a previous life as President Kennedy, who
identified with King Arthur, because Alexander was a distant previous
incarnation. Alexander believed in human
Fantasy literature, so he visited the City of Troy from the Trojan War, to wear
the Armor of Achilles, his favorite hero of the Iliad (the book he considered
his religion) as written by the Greek, Homer.
So it is of little importance that King Arthur is a fantasy reproduction
of Alexander the Great.
