Ushabtis
In the Ancient Egyptian Netherworld (Duat) people without an Afterlife or religion (disbelievers) became forced laborers in the Kingdom of Osiris as Ushabtis. Egyptians had Slaves in life and in death, Ushabtis were their Slaves in the Afterlife. By burying statues of Ushabtis in the tomb, a person is assured the placeholder spirit as their servant; Ushabtis replaced the tomb owner's responsibility to serve as a laborer when called upon by Lord Osiris to do manual labor, such as Agricultural work, cooking, cleaning, repairing, etc. by declaring "Here I Am!" on the statue.
People who attack statues of the Dead will become Ushabtis after death, if they pass Judgement of their Souls in the Court of the Double Ma'at in Duat. Otherwise their souls are annihilated in the Second Death (the death of the body is the First Death, the death of the Soul is the Second Death).
