Tutankhamon’s Parents

Saying the name of the Heretic Pharaoh Akhenaton was not illegal until after Horemhab became Pharaoh, following Tutankhamon’s death. And since Tutankhamon and the others were erased from History, it would be unlikely that he would deny his true parentage while alive. Tutankhamon said his Father was Amonhotep 3 Nebmaatra, Not Akhenaton. King Ay (aka: Tutankhamon) also said this, while Vizier Ay was elderly and could not be a son of Amonhotep 3 Nebmaatra. Horemhab said he was a son of Amonhotep 3 Nebmaatra, but he was covering up the missing reigns between himself and Nebmaatra after erasing Tutankhamon (etc.) from History. So if Akhenaton were the “biological Father of Tutankhamon” then why did Tutankhamon not say this? Tutankhamon was an Atonist for 3 years before changing religion back to traditional Polytheism. He would say who his Father was during that time. Tutankhamon was born in year 10 of Akhenaton, was age 7 when Akhenaton died, and age 9 when crowned Pharaoh. Amonhotep 3 Nebmaatra was alive after year 9 of Akhenaton and was living in Akhetaton/Amarna (page 80 figure 67, Aidan Dodson’s Amarna Sunrise: Egypt from Golden Age to Age of Heresy, ©2014). Just because he wasn’t ruling doesn’t mean he was deceased. Akhenaton ruled about 17 years.
The Genetic test of 2008 said “KV55 Mummy” was a male relative of Tutankhamon, a “Father OR Brother” of the King. This person died before Tutankhamon was Pharaoh and was interred in KV62, moved into KV55 by Tut. Possible candidates are Thutmose 5 and Smenkhkara Djoser-Kheperu. The tomb was reused several times by different occupants, the last one was Tutankhamon. If Nefertiti was an occupant then her quartzite sarcophagus was re-carved for her son, Tutankhamon. His face appears on the mural of “King Ay” performing last rites for himself in the burial chamber. Tut’s trademark was having his face carved into statues of the Gods whom he fashioned himself, so most likely he had the mural painted rather than Vizier Ay whom looked nothing like Tut.
