The need for Belief in Society

Fictional Stories that are called “True Stories” become religion.  In order to will events you need first to believe.  If you have doubts, this will stop you from believing, and thus you cannot will anything.  The purpose of the archetype in religion, or the Speaker to the Audience, is to encourage faith or acceptance of the doctrine in order to form a basis for belief.  The doctrine in Scientific terms is probably false, but if believed then it becomes true in the minds of its adherents, and therefore the adherents can now will events (via Prayer, Magic Spells, etc.). If someone tries to force a belief into being accepted as Fact, they cannot, at least without problems. 

The Human Mind has a “door within” that is accessible via the program of Belief.  Doubts, skepticism, or Science, will keep the door closed.  People are often trying to encourage others to accept their suggestive ideas, as in products that rely on auto-suggestion, the Power of the Mind, Mind over Matter, the “Force,” “Magic,” Hawaiian Lucky Tiki statues, Talismans, simple devices that are said to heal people when a Placebo can do the same, etc.  The Islamic Quran begins with the claim “This book is not to be doubted.”  If a person has a Magic Spell that can cure illness and one person said it works (because he has strong willpower or strong beliefs) and the other has doubts (so the Magic doesn’t work), who will win?

Religions want to be as believable as possible, even claiming actual historical events to be of Divine Origin.  Religions push back the calendar dates hundreds or thousands of years before the events actually happened, for their pedigree.  The more that believe or accept the doctrine or archetype, the better is the effect of the willed action. 

Now take my novel Eye of the Pharaoh, which is Science Fiction despite what its first publisher said.  My character was the Messiah – he conquered the Middle East, established the Electoral Monarchy-Empire (Kingdom of Osiris/God/UEIR), he resurrected the dead (Mummy Army) and his Queen Ankhesenamon, and caused the Apocalypse, created New Heaven/New Earth, and was identified with the Creator Ptah and King Tutankhamon in a previous life.  Because “Jesus was his opponent” people read the wrong information.  He never said that Christ was his opponent, because the character is the actual Messiah, and Jesus was his competition.  The power of Ptah/identification with Ptah allows Magic to work.   500+ Million people read it, so I have that many people in my religion.  The name of my religion is either Pharaonic or Pharaohism, as in the book title.
