Ancient Egyptian Easter(n)...

In Ancient Egypt the rites of Spring (Equinox) accompanied the coloring of eggs and veneration of Wen-nefer (a title of Osiris, the God of Life, written with a Rabbit glyph, a water symbol for "n", and the word for Good (NFR), meaning "good being.") - this holiday was celebrated in the East (Easter-n), as Egypt lay to the East of Europe.  Egyptian religion was already in Ancient Rome, so some elements must have survived after Christianity usurped it in the Roman Empire.  Osiris was the god of resurrection, life, and Eternal Life.  This became Christ in the later religion that replaced it.   Islam also is partly from Osiris worship, as Allah became the Judge of the Dead, Supreme ruler of the Universe, and the Compassionate & Merciful One who answers prayers.  (The God(s) exist regardless if the original religion is not practiced).
