On use of Egyptian word puns...

Use of Egyptian Word Puns in Magic

In using Egyptian Magic, sometimes the similar sounding words in English will affect the outcome of certain spells.  If I play the CA Lottery and buy a ticket (some people use the spell without doing this first) and I use a “win lottery spell” I usually get one number correct, as the past tense of “win” is “won” and that sounds the same as “one.  If you wrote to the American “White” House a few days before Actress Betty “White” died at age 99, this is also verb confusion, as both are the same word but different locations.

Egyptian Word Puns are plays on words.  This was common in Ancient Egypt.  Words like “Ankh” had multiple definitions, such as “Life, Mirror, Reflection, Sandal Strap,” etc.  People believed this was amusing when the alternate meaning was presented.
