The Egyptian Tomb of Menna...

The Egyptian Tomb of Menna

The Tomb of Menna (TT69) is one of the most visited and best preserved of the small 18th Dynasty elite tombs in the Theban necropolis, yet it was previously never systematically recorded or fully documented.

Tombs were places of adoration of the tomb owner in which the relatives would visit and place offerings and read the painted inscriptions.  This enabled the Spirit/Souls to continue to function in society and in Heaven.  Spirits could visit Earth and interact with the living, like Guardian Angels. First they needed to Pass Judgement in the Court of Ma'at in Duat, and be granted a home in Pet/Heaven.  Judgement was based on how well the person lived according to a set of Laws.  Next, they were trained to interact with the Living and to defend them from evil spirits or people.  If the person didn't wish to be in Heaven they had the choice of reincarnation back on Earth in a new body with a new Ka Spirit, that had to be provided for as well.   - MJC 2020.
