Symbolism of hunting in the Egyptian Afterlife...

The Symbolism of Tutankhamon Duck Hunting in the Afterlife

Tutankhamon was buried with hunting equipment, a folding travel bed with duck-headed footstools, Bows and Arrows, Throwing Sticks (similar to the Boomerang), a duck earring, a golden shrine with him and his Queen hunting ducks in the Afterlife, even roasted duck meat for his nightly feasts.  Ducks symbolized “Evil Spirits” in Egyptian religion.  So when he is shown “hunting Ducks” he is actually combating Evil Spirits throughout Eternity, like a Superhero.  The Duck Meat represents him Feasting on the bodies of Evil Spirits/people.  The Lion hunts allowed him to symbolically go after the King of the Jungle, not just capture lion cubs as royal pets.  The Ostrich Hunt was to capture Ma’at Feathers for his royal Fan, also symbolic as the “Fanning of Justice.”  All of this hunting allowed his reincarnation to “hit a Bull’s-Eye on the first day of Archery” in 1991 without any training.  And it wasn’t “Beginner’s Luck” either for the next shot was a 9 (10 is center).
