             (Tefnut is the Ancient Egyptian Goddess of Rain and Moisture):

To Cause Rain:

          “Homage unto the Great Goddess of Moisture, Rain, Fog, Snow, Hail, and Precipitation, who brings rain in order to quench the thirst of the Deserts and resolve our Droughts.  May you receive daily offerings of fine wines, fresh cakes and ale, soap, cocoa, perfumed oils, clean cotton and silk clothing, incense, gems, gold and silver vessels, pure water, and all that are good and pure to the benefit of an Egyptian Goddess, O Tefnut!”

            “Behold Pharaoh Horus Michael has built for you a magnificent Granite and Marble Temple complete with a Sacred Pool, Library, Storage rooms, Main Hall, Inner Sanctum,  Pillared Courtyards, and a Pyramid of polished limestone.  May you rejoice at it.  Your Priests has been chosen from the House of Life, and are trained in the Dark Arts of Heka.”

          “O Beloved One of Shu, the god of Desert Winds, O Mother of Geb (the Earth) and Nut (the Cosmos), Come forth to deliver the much-needed Rains! The caked Desert floor is ready to receive your gifts. In Horus Michael’s name I give you this voice offering.” 

         

To cause Snow:

          “Hail O Sister of Shu, damper the wrath of Set, and cool his fire with your tongue, O Mighty Tefnut! May the cold air of Shu combine with Moisture to send forth snow to the destination.”

To cause a Flood:

          “Behold O Tefnut, you bore a child and he has red-hair! The lamentations of Isis have reached the Coast.  For now the flood waters recede, tomorrow they will fill the city.”

To cause Icy Hail:

          “O Tefnut, Great One, open up your doors to the Flood Waters and spike them with your spears.”  

 

For a light Drizzle of Rain:

          “Homage unto you O Tefnut, May you come and bring forth Moisture like red ochre on your lips.  Kiss the Earth and impact it with fresh water.”

For Fog:

          “Homage unto Lady Tefnut, bringer of low-laying clouds to the Earth, so send forth your breath upon the lands.”

For Dense Fog:

          “Behold the Gates of Heaven open! What exits is cleaner than what enters! For the clouds parted to send fog below in the cities.” 

 

For Morning Dew:

          “Hail Tefnut, Goddess of Spring, Goddess of Moisture.  May there be dew on the rose petals in the gardens.”

For a ritual Libation of Pure Water:

          “Hail Hapy the Nile River God, May you Purify the waters of the River and appease Tefnut’s wrath.”

To Clear the Air and Sky:

          “Hail Tefnut and Shu, cleanse the sky with your power; let the smoke and pollution dissipate and disappear! May the clouds of fog cleanse the air from all Smog or Vog Pollutants.”

                    To Protect the King (Pharaoh):

          “Hail Osiris, Horur, Neith, Selqet, Isis, Bes, Tauret, Nut and Ma’at: Protect the Nisw (Sovereign) as you protected Horus the Child from Set in the marshes.”

          To Protect the Vizier or Senate:

          “Hail Sobek, Khnum, Neith, Nephthys, Selqet, Bes, Mut, Nekhbet, & Ma’at: Protect our leaders in Govt. from all danger, harm, riots, intrigue, scandals, misinformation, enemies, or assassins.”

To Protect Technology (Media):

          “Hail Nut, Nu, Shu, Bes, Tauret, & Wadjet: protect our equipment from damage.”

To Protect Journalists (Media):

          “Hail Thoth, Seshet, and Ma’at: Protect those who report the truth from interference, damage, harm, danger, terrorism, riots or accidents.”

To protect rights of Men & Women:

          “Hail Ptah, Isis, Min, Hathor, & Nut: Protect the Civil Rights of all Citizens and Plebes, may one not exceed the other.”

To Protect Animal Rights:

          “Hail Bastet, Anubis, Sakhmet, Aker, Horus, Thoth, and Selqet: Protect all rights of non-Human beings who are environmental or otherwise domestic.”

To Protect Deity or Alien Rights:

          “Hail the Neterw and the Asmarians: protect all non-Human rights above and beyond the sphere of the living.”

To protect the Environment:

          “Hail Geb, Tefnut, Shu, Amun-Ra, Nut, the Ennead, the Neterw, and Aton: May the living protect their Environment from erosion, pollution, accidents, harm, or other human actions.”

To recycle and restore (Environment):

          “Hail Geb, Nut, Tefnut, Isis, Shu, Aton, Amun-Ra, Nu, and Ma’at: restore the Environment by recycling used metals, plastics, glass, paper, water, and resources.”
